CHARITIES SUPPORTED BY THE RODEO
4th ANNUAL THE BUCKEYE STAMPEDE CHALLENGED RODEO - Dover, Ohio
An "Exceptional Rodeo" for mentally or physically challenged rodeo contestants and their families, provided by Sponsors, Volunteers and the Rodeo Committee. The rodeo is experienced through modified events, rodeo animals, clowns and rodeo personnel, in a special way and provides the contestant a
"Time to Shine"…..Each contestant is given a rodeo gift or award, and a meal.
Friday - July 11th @ 4pm, "Kid's Nite" of the Pro rodeo, are given tickets through either the Rodeo Committee or a generous sponsor to experience real rodeo action and an enjoyable outing with their family.
CHANGE THROUGH CHANCE - Wooster, Ohio
Change through Chance, Sheryl Sabino, Jesse and Clark Howell are the newest partners in the "Buckeye Stampede Challenged Rodeo". They will be assisting with Exceptional Rodeo Contestants, as well as giving demonstration through out the rodeo on what the Change through Chance program is all about.
The program goals are to create an atmosphere through horses and cattle to encourage a positive change in past or potential negative behavior in young adults. Creating scenarios with horses helps troubled persons learn problem solving ideas on their own, builds respect, patience, responsibility and most of all builds new friendships and fun.
"TOUGH ENOUGH TO WEAR PINK" - "Breast Cancer Awareness"
Saturday Night - July 12th is dedicated to the Breast Cancer Awareness
All Spectators and Contestants are encouraged to wear "Pink" to the rodeo - a donation of one dollar for every "Pink" shirt through the gates will be made to the breast cancer awareness fund.
The Rodeo Committee will also hold other fund raisers through out Buckeye Stampede Days for breast cancer awareness, all proceeds are donated locally. Professional Rodeos along with Wrangler and other National sponsors of the PRCA, through out the United States are declaring "TETWP" Nites to support Breast Cancer research and to support the local Cancer Society Chapters in their area. The Buckeye Stampede Rodeo Committee objective of "TETWP" is to rally the rodeo industry and its community around a cause that touches too many of our competitors, fans, families, friends and neighbors.
Hospice of Tuscarawas County
The Hospice of Tuscarawas County is going to hold a 50/50 Every night of the Rodeo in Memory of Molly De Muth and Mike Milarcik, both of these individuals had a huge part in creating the first Buckeye Stampede Pro Rodeo... All proceeds go to Hospice....
Tuscarwas Co. Humane Society
The Tuscarwas Co. Humane Society will have the Petting Zoo this year to raise funds for the new animal shelter.
Dover Exchange Club
Dover Exchange Club will be hosting the Beer Garden their proceeds go to their scholarship fund
Friends of the Homeless
Friends of the Homeless in Tuscarwas County... hosting the Pancake Breakfast all proceeds go to the shelter.
